I need a Lawyer!

We had a problem with our perpetual right of way inside our compound.  Our neighbor built a 2 storey building within the alley, and that structure even encroached on the property frontage of my brother in law.   This was done almost a year ago, my brother in law waited for them to voluntarily dismantle the illegal structure since the person who owns it requested for some time to recover the cost of the building.  But since our relationship with those people has turned from bad to worse with the ensuing conflict between us we decided to ask for help with our local official (Brgy. Chairman).

The local official told us that he can’t do anything with the situation since it is a private property.  Besides those people we have complaint challenged us to pursue legal means to have such structure removed. That is why we are looking for a good and reliable lawyer to solve everything once and for all.  We already forwarded our letter of complaint to my husband’s cousin (a lawyer) but she is so busy that is why we have not heard from her until now. We are still looking for other lawyer that will take this case and we are hoping our agreement will be “no win no fee”.

Well, I believe that we will win this case so I know we will not have a hard time looking for a lawyer.

What's wrong with the climate?

It's almost the end of March, the weather should be very hot all day since it's summer. But, why is it that when afternoon strikes the sky becomes cloudy and dark? Yesterday, I did my usual laundry expecting that the clothes will be dry at noon but as early as 1:00 PM it's already dark outside, and it is as if it is about to rain.

I am not complaining about the weather, I love it more this way because I don't have to change clothes and take a bath more than once a day. It's just so odd.

With this unpredicted changes in the climate, your outfit for the day should be versatile. You must always bring something if the weather gets cold. Check out this fabulous cover-up that is best with your dresses.

For a Little White Dress, you can use a black satin blazer with exaggerated shoulders, (looking for Lola at SoFA Retail Lab, $15)

or you can use a Black cap-sleeve blazer with belt (Possibility at Crossings, The Ramp, $74)

For Florals and colorful outfits, it is best to wear neutral color and blazers with no print.

This blazer from Banana Republic ($120) looks great with these kind of colorful outfit.

Smocked tube top and white shorts, ForMe, (price unavailable)

Smocked empire-cut maxi dress with beaded straps (ForMe $29)

I am not a fashion guru, I just based my suggestion and thoughts on the various magazines I have read .  Besides you don't need to become an expert in doing mix and match.  Just look at yourself in the mirror or ask a close friend if your outfit looks great or not before going out.

Earth Hour: Should be done every month, I think!

As far as I know, the first Earth Hour was done last 2008 only.  It was organized by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature, also known as World Wildlife Fund) and is held on the last Saturday of March annually.  We were asked to turned off the lights and other electrical appliances for 1 hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on drastic climate change.

While I am writing this, the Earth Hour was 10 minutes over.  I am sad that not everyone in my neighborhood did their share in saving mother Earth.  We are the only household who really turned off all the lights.  We went to the roof deck to have some fresh air as we turned off our lights and all the appliances, so that Ren will not get fuzzy.

I brought a candle in the roof deck since I am worried it will be dark but since we are living in the City, the surroundings are really bright, and it's because not everyone really turned off their lights. (the picture look like it was taken at noon because Noel was experimenting with his camera using different exposures)

I thought that 1 hour is long enough but it's not.  We enjoyed the nature and the fresh air, Ren loved looking at the moon and the stars.  Noel and our nephew Ron also enjoyed taking some pictures with the candles effect.

That is why I thought that Earth Hour should be done every month, per location maybe.  I want my child to still experience nature, that is why I really want to help save mother Earth, even in any small way that I can.

I have watched many documentaries about the changes in our climate and I am so afraid that everything will be gone soon.  I am getting paranoid right? If you have a small child maybe you can relate with me.

Next year, if ever it's really impossible to do this every month, I hope that more people would really participate on Earth Hour.

My son loves summer!

Summer started early as the years go by, this means we really should take care of the environment. When  I was still a child I remember summer starts between April-May, maybe it is because I thought of summer begins at the end of the school year and didn't care about the heat that much.

Surely, summer is for kids. They love swimming, playing at the park and eating foods that will help them cool down.

Here are some of Ren's picture enjoying the water:

he can swim longer in the bathtub, basin or in his inflatable pool

he can play around in the park

and of course he can eat his favorite..."ICE CREAM!!!"

So, what are your summer escapades?  Share your story with us, join Mommy Moments now.

My Real Leaf Papparazzi prize finally arrived!

Nuffnang announced the winners of the Real Leaf Papparazzi contest last February 15, and I am so grateful I am included in the list.  Now, my consolation prize finally arrived. It's consisted of 6 boxes (24pcs./box) of 480ml. Real Leaf Tea in 3 different flavors.  Here is my winning entry.

I asked my sister in law to sell the 2 boxes in her store.  One 480ml bottle can be sold at P20.00 each.

But, since we personally love the taste of this tea (especially my husband), we will surely consume all the remaining boxes.

Again, thanks Real Leaf Tea and Nuffnang.

I want to have a summer vacation! But where?

I am hoping that our problems and trials will be solved soon.  Each one of us in our family has been very stressful these past few days. We all really could use a way to relax and get away from it all. I am really longing to have a long vacation as a stress reliever.  I want to go to the beach with the whole family and that we will laugh our hearts out.  I want to release all the negative thoughts and feelings that are still in me.

Noel and I have already filling up our piggy bank so that we can use it to take some vacation.  This month, we have decided that our piggy bank will not go to Ren's Account but instead we will use it as our splurge fund (just like the movie "UP").

Noel wants to go cruising because he heard that it's a wonderful experience. But, of course we need a huge amount of money to have the best cruises that we want to try.

As of now, since the budget is still limited and we were the one who will try to treat the whole family I think a hot spring from any place in Laguna is good enough.
