Geeky Bento Boxes

I always prepare packed lunch for my husband, and it is usually just rice and 1 kind of viand.  Sometimes I will add a piece of banana or a piece of chocolate to make it special. I think if I will prepare his food just like how this bento boxes been prepared he wouldn't eat it, instead he will just displayed it in his table (and of course I am not that creative).

Best Movie of 2009

I have my own list of the Best Movies of 2009.  I haven't watched all the movies that have been released but I make sure that I watched the movies that had great reviews.  So here is my list:

Drag me to Hell - they said that this Movie is scary, yet I consider it funny and hilarious.  This is the movie that really makes me laugh.

Star Trek- I love Sylar ( I mean Spok)  real name: Zachary Quinto

2012 - Hubby and I love the breathtaking effects of this movie. 

Transformers2 - wish I'm as sexy as Megan Fox in the motorcycle

G.I. Joe- The Rise of Cobra

Avatar - The first movie I've watched in 3D.

UP- I really love how Pixar create a movie, the story, the character, the animation, everything  is AWESOME! This is another Pixar Movie that surely Ren and I will watch repeatedly.

Avatar: Our first IMAX experience

Me and my hubby love movies. When we were still dating, we watched tons of movies in the cinemas. But when we were married and had a child of our own, Ren, we seldom have the chance to go out anymore we just wait for the DVD of the movies to come out and watch it at home. We’ve been hearing for a while how the IMAX experience is overwhelming and quite different than just watching in the theaters, so since it is Christmas and my mom is at home to take care of Ren, we decided to watch the newest Imax movie: Avatar. And I have to say, it REALLY BLEW US Away! The movie lasted to about 160 minutes.

The story is set in the year 2154 when Earth's natural resources are almost used up, People plan to use military force to conquer Pandora which is rich in a resource that the people of Earth so desperately need. It is inhabited by a wise, peaceful, and nature-respecting people with blue skin called the Na'vi.

And so on... I don't want to spoil the movie because I want you to watch it for yourself. 
The 3D is truly immersive; it made us believe that we were actually there. James Cameron did an amazing job.

My only regret that time was that we forgot to bring our camera to take some pictures outside the cinema.  We usually laugh at people doing it before, but when I start blogging I realized that taking pictures is a must (for some proof).  We also get the FREE ice cream tub from Go Nuts Donuts, and we ate it inside the cinema. 

Well, overall I can say that this was the BEST experience I had when watching a movie although I think it's better if we were seated at the center, but besides that everything is just great!

2010 Compact Calendar

Grafish Design came up with The Small Calendar, and the method of usage is simple. Start with the date, say the 19th, then follow that column until you intersect with the desired month: March 19th will be on a Friday! Months are color coded for the length. The months colored green are are with 31 days while the ones with orange are 30 days and February which has only 28 is colored purple.

Announcing the Winners of our "Wedding Anniversary Contest"!

This is the day everyone is waiting for... the announcement of the winners of our wedding anniversary contest.  I received more than 55 participants with a total of 195 entries (thank you so much!).  Only 14 people guessed our theme song right and it was "It Might Be you".  We personally didn't choose this song, it just happen that it played a big part in our relationship.  Noel and I accidentally met, we were text mates first (my friend gave me his number by mistake and yes! I took the first move) then we became phone pals.  One time, when we are talking over the phone I felt like singing and the song that came out from my mouth is "It Might Be you", we sung together, and it was the first time Noel said "I LOVE YOU"..  and that's it, we consider it our theme song.

Mommy Moments: Favorite Theme!

I have been so busy lately (as in super busy), so there were a lot of mommy moments theme that I've missed in the past few weeks. I thought I can join last week's theme, but unfortunately I didn't finish my article and I am already in rush packing for the things that we need for our trip in Batangas. As of now, this is only the 4th post I have made in Mommy Moments so it's easy for me to pick up my favorite theme, and it was the "precious gifts" theme.

You all know that having a child is really the most precious gift a mother can ever receive especially if you didn't expect that you will have one for some health reason. I always say that Ren was our gift from God because Noel and I completed the "simbang gabi" and wished for a child, a month after, I found out that I was pregnant already.  I want everyone to know that God will give you something if you really prayed hard for it, and of course you should work hard for it too : p.
