Arnel Pineda is the latest vocalist of the popular band, Journey. They discovered Arnel while Neal Schon, guitarist of Journey was surfing youtube. Neal was frustrated about not having a singer after Jeff Scott Soto left, and after hearing Arnel's voice, Neal contacted Arnel and had him flew over for an actual audition and the rest as they say is history.
But a few die-hard fans didn't quite took Arnel easily, numerous threads from MelodicRock.com and Journeyforums.com mostly ramblings against him being Filipino. But why can't they just accept the fact that music has no racial boundaries, What matters is that he can sing and he is really really good in what he is doing.
